Rev: Identity & Content

Rev is the #1 speech-to-text company in the world, offering captions, subtitles, and transcription for videos. The team at Rev wanted to evolve their brand to set themselves apart from the transaction-oriented competition. I helped create a full rebrand and brand new website from the ground up.

The project began with the creation of an expansive, 90-page creative expressions guide that served as the single source of truth for the new brand—along with their two sub-brands. Working closely with client stakeholders and the project ACD, I wrote pages detailing the new brand’s mission, values, creative principles, voice, and more.

The guide ended with a “Flagship Applied” section, in which we created a series of mock-ads that showed how our foundational work could be brought to life by any creative who works on the new Rev brand (pictured below).

The second phase of the project required a full overhaul of the existing site. I wrote 60+ pages of web content over 4 months, making sure each page hit specific SEO keyword objectives in alignment with the new messaging guidelines. Utilizing a brand new component-based design system, I helped structure content flows across unique and templated pages that included the homepage, service pages, and long-form articles.
